Jewelry

Jewelry is an item of personal ornament or adornment that has been used by men and women of almost all the civilizations. Necklace, rings, bangles, brooch, earrings, pendants and bracelets are some of the most common and popular jewelry items worn by women and men throughout the world. Jewelries are made from numerous materials including gemstones, real diamonds, artificial stones and metals and above all, precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum. Ancient jewelries were often made from natural materials like wood, bones, animal teeth, shells and carved stones.

In the modern times, jewelries are available in diverse designs, patterns and colors. Apart from being used as body ornaments, jewelries are treated as symbol of wealth and social status. In the twentieth century, traditional jewelries were taken over by exotic and designer jewelries, which were made popular by celebrities and royal families. Nowadays, you can buy jewelries in assortments off designs and budget ranging from cheap imitation jewelries to jewelries worth millions of dollars made from real diamonds and gold.
